Here is my tranny story. I went for tranny recall (2nd gear, you know) and complained about slippage in either 2nd or 3rd gear when hot. ATF had also lost its color just after 8,5k (60k to 68,5k). So, Acura replaced transmission at 68500 miles. Since I got my car back, I just did not like anymore the way it drives. The nice and plush feeling was completely gone. It took 3500 miles for me to realize that something is not right here. To make this story short, I went back to Acura complaining about noisier and harsher ride and to check either front tire or suspension, or ball joints, or engine mounts, or whatever else. Turns out, they believe that that is my new tranny! I’m going to have tranny #3 now. Now I just wonder what kind of other problem I might have with coming tranny #3.

 

That's ridiculous man sorry to hear that.

 

My third tranny is the roughest I've had, plus its starting to shudder on the 1st to 2nd gear shift. They installed the oil jet based on the recall but it still hasn't improved. Ah, the good old days of tranny number 1 and 2.

 

Man, you scare me. I’ve got enough of #2. Hopefully, #3 is the last one to go on my TL and will last.

Thank God I'm still on my first. I'll give her one, maybe, but if the replacement goes, so does my car.
