Gonna do an install..

...of Tein high tech springs and an Apexi WS2 cat-back exhaust (finally bought one from Grip Motorsports after a LOT of problems with Overboost) tomorrow morning. I have printed two spring install DYI's and the exhaust instructions seem fairly straight forward. But is there anything in particular I need to know? Anyone have any secrets to save some time and energy? Thanks in advance.

1. Where do you live (state or region is fine)? This will determine how much rust you will encounter

2. Do you have an air compressor? This will make life easier.

Get a high temprature torch to heat up the bolts for the exhaust since more than likely the will be frozen. You may want to pick up spare nuts and studs at the acura dealer incase.

Springs are not bad. Do you have an -S? Because with a -P you can just force the rear suspension down and not have to remove the sway bar endlink, but the TYpe S has a beefier suspension, and you will have to get it out of the way. What I do is remove the bracket that holds the end-link to the rear hub since it is easier than trying to remove the end-link since they strip very easily.

ANy other questions specifically? I've done this plenty of times, so any advice you need, I can help.

I live in Southern Illinois, but bought the car from a Chicago dealer (350 miles away). The car is a Type-S. I have an air compressor, but no torch. The nearest dealer is St. Louis which is 70 miles away, so I hope for no broke parts. I have no specific questions, just seeking to identify the traps along a path I know many on this forum have traveled. Thanks for the response.

Biggst pain will be the nuts on the cat are more than likely frozen onto the flange.

They were like that on a 2003 TL-S I installed headers on, the salt and the constant temp change will just weld them to the flange. Best bet is to use a torch to get them off, and a big breaker bar.

THe suspension is not hard at all, though. SHould have no real problems with anything not coming out. You may just want to remove the bracket like I said, since removing the end-links are a pain.
