I was supposed to have my gold package when I purchased the car, but the outer grille was on back order. It is now ready. However, I have rec'd two conflicting reports from service techs on what comes with the package. The emblem package is the Acura insignia "A's" front and rear as well as the letters that spell out Acura on the trunk, right? I've been told by one person that the letters are not an option just the insignia. Also, I ordered the outer grille at time of purchase and was told it is the frame plus the center line. The inner grille was the webbing that is black behind the outer grill. Now I'm told that the inner grill is the center line, and the outer grille is just the frame that runs around the grille. I don't care about the webbing. Can anyone explain what can be gold on the car? (I don't want the exhaust tips).

1) The emblem kit includes the "A" emblems, front and rear - the ACURA letters and the 3.2 TL lettering.

2) The inner grille is the chrome bar in the center of the grille.

3) The outer grille is the frame around the outside of the grille.

4) The exhaust tips are available separately.

5) I'm not sure if they list gold wheel centers for the TL, but the wheel centers with the gold emblems from the RL will fit the TL. I hope this helps

P.S. I'm speaking from my experience with a 99 TL, I'm not sure if there is any difference with the '02's.

 

Thanks, I will refer to this when I see the service manager. Acura needs to educate its employees. I rec'd different versions from the salesperson to the techs.
