going to lower my Tl soon got a few ?'s

Ive been wanting to do this for along time so i finally decided to do it:

Im choosing between:

Eibach Pro-kit
H&R Sport drop

Just wondering which is better, is the eibach drop too low for daily driving, and possibly adding a set of 19's later on? I know most people on here go with H&R so maybe thats the way to go. Also a local shop said 150 to install them, is that reasonable.

I am thinking of getting the h and r springs to but some people have told me that ride is considerably rougher. You say it is the same as stock? Do most people think it is the same as stock?

Well the ride with H&R Sports is rough....then again I live in SI the motherland of all potholes and crappy roads. But on smooth roads the ride is good if not better.

I just got my H&R Sports installed today and it looks awesome. Right now there's a 2 finger gap, but it'll probably settle a bit lower. The first thing i noticed was that the ride is a bit rougher. I was also debating between the eibachs and the HRs but i chose HR because it gives a more even drop whereas others have said that the eibachs sag a bit in the back. Hope that helps

Eibach's may increase the chances of needing a camber kit.

Personally, I'm very happy with Comptechs which are the only springs designed for the TL/CL (the others are made for the Accord V6 and lower the rear more than specified)

I know someone personally with the eibach and their car is way too low, and rides like crap. I have been in H&R dropped cars and i have them on my car now. I love them and the ride is great. No matter what springs will firm the ride, but the h&R do a great job at keeping the ride where it should be.

Do the comptech's need a camber kit?

And did you get them installed at the dealer? IE to maintain the waranty

thx in advance

Is that true that the h&r's will settle alittle more, so like a 2 inch drop all around?

I got Comptech and love them... The ride is very similar to stock. It drops it about 1.25 all the way around..

That price is reasonable if they include the first alignment. Don't forget to do a second alignment 2 weeks later. There might be a chance that you'll need a camber so don't be surprised.

I got my CT installed at a shop (not dealer).

WRT warranty, the only thing that could be affected would be stock shocks and the warranty wouldn't cover that anyways because they are a wear and tear item.

At 48,000 miles and on my second tranny, I just bought the H&R sports. I had a local Big-O shop order them, new Yokoham AVS ES100 tires and install everything, with immediate alignment. I paid $60 per corner ($240) for the spring install, and the whole package was $1200. Your $150 for spring install seems very good.

I think the H&R drop is perfect. Makes the car look much more serious about its intentions. The ride is slightly rougher, with more up/down bobbing over bad roads (mostly what I get in my small town) but on the open road and around the twisties they are great, especially with these new tires.

One thing I hoped to get was less side wallow (with the stock sways and shocks) and an improvement in the front dive under braking. Both dreams have been realized. I've also noticed a little less of that top-heavy jiggle that you get when you ease over a sharp speed bump.

Now I'm dreaming about the shock tower bar, headers and ice box...
