Post Going faster than it feels..

After getting my TL, I've noticed that I speed all the time. The car doesn't feel like its going 70 when its going 70. Most of the time i find myself doing 70 mph on the street, and the only thing that makes me notice this, is the fact that i'm passing cars like they are standing. Do you guys feel the same? Do you find yourself speeding?

(on my way home, i see an M5 standing on the side of the road. I slow down when i get to the M5, i don't think the owner ever drives it, its usually just standing there. Nice Silver Beast waiting to be unleashed.)

Sometimes I feel like I am doing only 60 mph but when I looked at the speedometer, it is close to 100 mph. I love my TL because it is so smooth and fast!

Yup... I feel that way as well. The car is really smooth as compared to my Integra before. The V6 engine is night and day compared to the 4cyl. Overall, I am driving much faster.

Hmmm... maybe a radar detector is needed soon!!!

TRUST ME, I have to watch carefully what my speed is. When your on the highway, you tapp on the accelerator and before you know it you hit 80 and are going 25 over the limit.

TL - Touring Luxury, your driving a sporty luxury car now, meaning speed & smoothness go hand in hand.

Just got my new 01TL in Nov. Came from a 4 cyl Camry. This car is amazing. It seems like
80 mph is the norm. Every time I look I am going 80 but it feels so much slower. I just love the smooth ride. Thanks for all the info in the past few weeks. This is a great site.

I think eveyone has this "problem"!

I only notice when I'm up at 85-90 before it starts to feel like you are going faster than everyone else.. I take it up to 100 all the time to past slow ass drivers.. flip them off and then take off!
