couple of my friends and I are goin to the track at atlanta motor speedway in commerce this friday. anyone else happen to be goin. my friends have a 02 Max (auto,I/E) and an 01 ITR (stock). we got a couple side bets goin on. who do you think will have the best times??? ive got 03 TLS (I/E). its my first time at the track too, so im a lil nervous. prolly gonna SS it the first time, then try gateshifting after. prolly wont power brake it tho, cuz it seems to bog the engine down, and i cant get any wheelspin from doin it. not gonna take anything out either or reduce tire pressure, cuz i wanna see what it can REALLY run on the streets. hopin to get high 14's, even tho i heard the track conditions suck.

You should power brake it... You don't want to spin. There is a lot of time wasted. Power brake at about 2k rpm. You will still get some wheel hop but its not going to be as bad as just sitting there and spinning...

High 14's is realistic depending on your weather and traction. It will be a toss-up between you and the Max as to who is likely driving better...Good luck!
