Question Girlfriends Car Idle's high and loud?

My woman has a mitsubishi galant that started to idle high when first started...

Does anyone know the cause of this? And what I can do to fix it besides taking it in and getting raped by the dealerships and such?

ISC (idle speed control) servo could be going South or there may be a vaccume leak somewhere. Does it stumble taking off from a dead stop? Does it ever come down? Ever had the trottle-body off the manifold before? Have you tried the adjustment screw on the throttle-body? Does the idle oscillate ~300rpm difference in gear?

There could be lots of reasons for this....

I could have but if you spent the time to make 2 identical posts then you could have taken the time to read the rules.
