ghosts on streering wheel controls

Sorry if this is rehash but I did do a couple of searches first...

Basically occasionally my steering wheel radio controls go haywire and don't do what they're supposed to...

example: volume controls will cycle through radio presets...

has anyone had this problem and what was their solution...

thanks in advance...

BTW, never to to Santa Monica Acura, they're customer service and "certified technicians" have done more damage than good to my vehicle IMO....

Common problem, apparently. Something about the wiring... I don't know for sure, though. But if it's under warranty, then it's covered.

I am currently having the same problem, except my contols ont work at all. All three audio contols used to work, then it went haywire, and now they don't work at all. I've put off going to the stealership because I currently have a system in the car, and I don't want them to think the audio contols don't work because of the subs. I only have like 2k miles left before my warrenty expires, so I think I'll take my chance and go to the stealership and see if they can fix it for me. What do you guys think? Will they blame the problem on me for having subs in the car?

D.

I had the same issue with my TL-S at just around 12k. There is a TSB out for this issue... apparently within the steering column there is a metal ring that fails to provide a proper ground for the controls. The dealership will replace this for free but will have to remove your steering wheel. Good luck with taking it in.
