Pearl...I agree with what someone posted before...while you should listen to your gf about lowering & the rims...IMO she probably shouldn't be freaking out about something you did to your car that's free of cost.
If I were you and was going to do some more freebie mods, I would just do them and not mention them to her. If she see's them, ok. If she doesn't notice them, whatever. After all, it is your car and if you're not spending money tweaking it a little, what's the big deal?

you should have fun on your car, for a 21yr old with a kid on the way even, not illegal or wrong or messed up priorities...just fun with the car. if there's any mods that are going to be pricey, maybe $100-150+, then maybe you should clear/convince her first.

Like everyone has said. #1 = Baby, then your car. If you got shit straight with the baby, and got some left over, go with the car. I do the same. Paying for all my bills are just like my "baby". Any thing left over is savings and MyTaLizaS3.2.

been with my girl for 10 years and never had any issues with my car (spending money on it) or anything. Not sure what your girls deal is ...but its your car and not hers...take the advice and dump her....your responsible and can take care of your own money the way you want to!

but like it's been said a billion times, relationships is all about compromises. im 19 but i've lived with my parents long enough to know what a good marriage needs.

Ahh...just read last few posts...kid on the way...somewhat of a problem. But I did say somewhat. Save for the kid man....they are expensive and should be your first priority in this case. Didnt realize kid was involved there.

Agreed, but do you disagree that his son/daughter should not come first? after that, the leftover money can be spent on the car. but you have some really screwed up priorities if you put your car before your kid, even the TL.

I want to first say congrats on becoming a father. It's a long road ahead and at times might seem like am impossible uphill climb. I assure you though, after countless sleepless nights of feeding and changing diapers you will be rewarded before too long when your little one (boy or girl) will be asking to do something as simple as to help hold some tools while your in the middle of modding and you will realize any sacrifce you had to make along the way was worth it. It gets to me everytime my daughter asks to come outside to help me with my car, It's that special time between father/daughter or even father/son that makes my life complete. I am only 24 myself yet have a daughter whom will be 5 in two weeks. She is everything to me (yes, she even ranks above my TL-S) I would suggest holding back on a few mods and make sure you are well prepared for what your about to experience. This doesn't at all mean to stop modding completing, just decide wisely and don't ever choose between a mod or something for the little one.. I'm sure it goes without saying, your son/daughter will always come first. Again on a closing note I want to wish you the very best. I was in the same situation when my gf (now my wife) didn't want me to do anything to my car, she is still the same way but has also accepted that I will always be modding just like she will always be shopping it just makes us who we are. Don't change who you are just because your gf disagrees with something or even because you have a baby on the way... you just need to first think about what your doing a little harder and ask yourself if it's the right decision.

No you aren't. Maybe I was too harsh, but I get so sick of this shit of getting pregnant, and then realizing that someone isn't mature enough to give up his toys. He probably doesn't have the means for both. The child usually ends of suffering due to divorce, etc. I could go on. It happens too many times of every day.
It's a bigger picture than your Acura. He needs to redefine "fun".
I still think parenting classes should be a requirement in cases like this.

dude i had a fiance taht was liek taht. she always said to me "ur car is fine the way it. u shouldnt have bought it if u didnt like it!" and i walways got pissed but then i just said to myself " fuck u, this is my car and im gonna do wtf i want to it lol! end of story." then we ended up ending it but i still talk ot her but now im talkin ot this one amazing woman that is just as in love iwth my car as ai am but she wants a chevy truck so bad 
. now dont get me wrong my first vehicle was a 92 chevy truck and i loved it but it always seem ot have a small or big problem but not any of my otehr 7 cars lol. so anwyay back to wat i was saying. i just got my irst kiss from her tonight and i was liek ya ur perfect. she wants ot fuckm y car taht is how much she likes it. if it goes further im gonna get her a CL or a TL liek mine or similar to teh 2G lol. dude srry man my car comes first. i would cut her off lol
