Getting the wood trim off?....

I took my car to a friend to take off the wood trim off the doors... we could not take them off! we see the pieces are welded in by plastic bolts,,, he tried to drill the bolts but they're not getting loose... so we stopped.

how did you guys get them off?

i want to get it painted silver to match the exterior... it would look cool with the carbon fiber trim... let me know,, thanks!

Read THIS

You have to either melt off the rivets or cut them. I, nor this board are responsible if you fvck it up. Oh and BTW, you cannot buy the door pieces without panel the entire door panel.

Uh that hurts to see. I was one of the first ones to do this, if not the first one. Use a circular motion while melting the bolts. Be patience.

No sorry, no holes. I meant to say first one to do this installation on the TL. Sorry brother, but I did this way before you even own a TL.

Mine was professionally done. I think it was like $150 a piece. It was done with carbon fiber.

I'm currently using vinyl for my engine cover, but I might be getting real carbon fiber sheets. Not sure at this moment.
