Getting serviced at Sears

Is there any downfall getting a oil change at Sears??? My TL is about to hit 65k miles and should I change the type of oil I use to keep the engine smooth??

bring it where ever you feel comfortable. if you want switch to syn

That was my next question. I know The AMG line and the M3 use syn oil. What is it and I know there is a huge price differ to.

Just make sure you going in "knowing" what you want done - like going to any place knowledge is the key to getting the service you request and need.

Do a search on this. Oils have been discussed almost as much as the trannies. as for Syn oil most perfer Mobil 1. also its really not more expensive since you are able to go longer periods on it between oil changes.

ok just did the search and found my answer. Also It said I will need to change the type of filter to due to the longer period of the syn being used. Is there a special type can I jsut go to the parts store and buy it?

mobil 1 and k&n oil filter can easily find in auto stores, these are most recommended filters recommended by members.
