Is getting the navi worth a damn?

I gotta agree, I think the dash looks better without it. No offense but with the NAVI I think the dash looks a lot like my Ford Taurus.

I also agree that the dash looks better without the big screen .. and I like the climate control buttons being grouped together .. instead of being split up between the navi and real buttons ..
but my ultimate factor for NOT getting it was everyone complaining that Acura has not updated it in several years .. and the last update (from late 2000 I believe) was alreay out-of-date and not useful for many areas of the country. Acura has been delaying the latest update by almost a year .. and truthfully, I expect this to be the last for this generation of NAVI. In a few years .. the NAVI unit will be just like an 8-Track player .. works great with the medium of its era .. but unlike an 8-track player .. not easily changed out

After reading all the great reasons for *not* having this navigation device I've decided to take mine out and put in a slot machine. Thanks for the wake-up.
