Gauge Cluster Bulbs
Hey everyone,

What bulbs are used for this and does anyone know how many I have to replace back there?
Thanks so much!

Can you describe the look? Is it bright white like the newer honda guages? Are there a lot of hot spots with the LEDs?

Is it just plug them in and go? It was in our Camry and it turned out well. I've heard the TL's do not work well. I don't want deep blue gauges.. just a blue tint would be okay. I'm gonna need pics, too.

Harminder, do you have a TL-S? I wonder if the hot spots would show on TL-S gauges too. Anyone know if the hot spots show up on both models' gauges with the LEDs? ProvidenceLeaf, I know you had a TL-S.

The mod would be great if it weren't for those hotspots. In our Camry, we avoided hotspots by using reflective mylar between the gauge face and gauge back panel. But it uses 194s so the LEDs we have are radial and that helps - which doesn't look to be an option for 74s.
I would like to see some better pictures.

but if even a bad camera can catch those hotspots, a real camera will just amplify the hotspots more.

A new kit came out for the gauge cluster at Ledautomotive. Here's text from the email:
We have tested some new LEDs for the TL/CL gauge cluster and they work great! They are brighter than the previous LEDs and the best part is the cluster does not have to be taken apart to install these new LEDs! Just remove the stock bulb from the back and install the LEDs in their place, it is that simple!
Can anyone please identify the bulb being used now?

Thanks!
