Hello everyone!

I am getting ready to purchase the parts to tackle the timing belt job on my 1999 TL and I have a question. Do I need to purchase any gaskets (such as for the timing belt cover) or are they all reusable? I have done a search and no threads mentioned anything about required gaskets. I am also doing the water pump and from looking at the exploded diagrams on the web, it looks like those gaskets are included with the part from Acura.

the timing belt cover has a "gasket" that is re-usable, i would suggest putting hondabond on the corners just to keep it in place, because they tend to fall out easily...the water pump comes with the gasket already inplace...unless your using aftermarket...i can't speak for them...i recommend using honda genuine parts for this job though....you should be fine with just the drive belts, tbelt and pump...

dont forget the timing belt tensioner!
Honda dealer coolant preferred by most, same for the t belt and pump.
The factory ones lasted a long time, one of the few items I ever say to buy OE
is the water pump job parts.
You can find vendors here that are discount OE parts/dealerships, just watch the ads
