WOW ... I paid $5.10/gallon yesterday for 91 at Shell (C$1.35/L).

And going back to the original poster, don't bother trying to get every drop out of the pump when it's already clicked once after you've filled it up.

 

wow, that's wierd but it couldn't be from topping off...i've done that to so many cars so many times with no problems.

was your tank almost empty when you filled up? i can see how you could of pumped bad gas from the gas station (ie from the bottom where all the junk and water is)...and that would cause your car to die, not the topping off.

 

Bullshit. I'm from San Jose. Came to Davis my freshman year out of Silver Creek C/O 05. I don't want to encourage you, but I had my car in Davis all of freshman year. No one's going to stop you if you can find a place to park it. I had a family friend who didn't drive his car to Davis, so I got him to buy a permit for me. I parked my car in Torcero South's Parking lot when I was at my girlfriends place. I lived in Webster hall (off campus Cuarto) so when i came home, i would park on Russell right in front of the Suites. Nothing's going to stop you from bringing your car. If there's a will, there's a way

i heard that the gas stations are going to start playing porno films at the pumps so that we can see someone else get fucked while we fill up...

 

This is the first car I messed up from topping off. Nothing ever happened to my Civic.

Tank was not empty. I do know it was me topping off. I saw some liquid spill from under my car when I was putting the nozzle back on the pump but didn't think much of it. As soon as I tried to drive off the car would die. It died every few hundred feet from the gas station. After it died for about the 6th time I just pulled it over and called the tow truck.

Next day dealer said they found no error codes. I refused to take the car back since I knew something was wrong with it. They took the car for a spin and immediately recorded all the codes listed on the service invoice. They had my car in for 3 wks till they could get the right parts in. The service advisor told me to never top off otherwise it would be on my dime. Racked up 2100miles on their loaner though.

Embrassing but true story.

 

i think its already happened at my local shell stations. or maybe theyre just ads of hot girls in sunblock commercials having their bodys rubbed down.
