Angry Gas prices going up again??

Damn, had to go get gas this morning and found out I had to pay about 10 cents more per gallon!! WTF??

$2.12 gallon for premium! Is this just a happening in Cali becuz of the stupid power crap! Damn, that hurts, pay for power at home and then pay again at the pump, restaurant, etc...

I guess I can't help it. I love driving my car and I don't want to change the type of gas I put in. Oh well.. just venting

I noticed prices at the pump are higher in NJ too. Went from $1.53 to 1.58/gallon for Exxon Supreme, but $2.12/gallon in CA?!? That's high. I don't even think it's that high in NYC.

Damn, $2.12 is a lot for gas. Must be that power outage problem. Don't put lower grade gas in your TL!!!
Here in NJ, it is about $1.55 for a gallon of premium. I thought that was a lot but now I don't feel so bad.
Hope it goes down soon for you.

Thats a lot of $$ for gas I pay around $1.67 per gal. I got gas this week down at my sisters house thats 70miles away & paid $1.52
I go down there about once a week to visit so I get gas then. I here our cost are going up for the summer. They say we live in the heavy pollution area. The gas that we will need for the summer will cost more.

Please, if you ever have a shred of sanity in your blood DON'T CHANGE THE GRADE OF GASOLINE EVEN IF IT MEANS DON'T DRIVE!!!! You will only hurt your fuel injectors (amongst other vital parts) in your car!! Believe me I know!!! I am a victim of someone who thought it was cool to put 87 and 89 octane in an Infiniti Q45! Sorry for me ... Cost me over 1500.00 to replace three fuel injectors and numerous repairs that could've been avoided. Trust me 2.12 vs. 2000.00 really ain't that bad considering the 19MPG city and like 29MPG highway.....believe me, you're paying alot less than me paying 20.00 to only get half a tank in that monster of a V-8. I know the feeling, I stay in Chicago. WE WERE PAYING 2.50 last summer for premium gas! 2.50! URRRRRGGGGHHHHH. I know the feeling and I hate it!

Thumbs down

I read it some where on the web that OPEC announcing production cuts to boost sagging oil prices, but California has been hit especially hard. Fires at two refineries in Northern California cut into supplies, and the state's decision to remove a chemical additive from gasoline helped boost the cost. Add a sizable state tax of 18 cents per gallon and a 7.25 percent sales tax, and California's gas is among the most expensive in the nation.

Edub,
Not sure what part of San Jose u get your gas. But Chevron off of Captial Expressway, has a pretty good price for their gas. Also most of the time there's a line, but worth the wait. Just thought I'd share that withu since your from SJ.

Eric, I think I know which one you are talking about but I have never went there. It is always higher close to the freeway. I usually get gas on my way to work in Mtn View. Bastards alright!

What company do you work?

Yup Chinaman, gas is cheaper here in Texas for sure. It's as low as $1.41 for name brand supreme. Then again, Houston has its own friggin port so we get the goods without all the distribution fees. If you think $2.12 is high, try going to Europe -- I know driving is different than it is here in the colonies, but gas there is $4.50-$5.00 a gallon!

I get my gas now at Costco, $1.95 for 92 octane. I could get it at the 76 station a block away, but they're at $2.10 a gallon. I've bought 92 at Costco for as little as $1.82 in South San Francisco (Colma).
