gas mileage
I've been reading post where people have claimed they have reached 30,33 and even 38:wow: mpg. I barely make 15-18mpg in my car. I fill the tank to the brim (not top off) but as full as possible and drive until the tank is close (not exactly on) E. and the milage i get is in the low 200's. Is this because my car is new. I have 2003 TL-S w/navi, had the car maybe 4 weeks it has 980 miles on it. Is this normal? could there be something wrong?
Oh yeah i do mainly city driving, with highway ocassionally.

Well, for city driving you're probably right about average. When I do city/town driving my gas mileage is usually around 21mpg. However, I drive about 85% highway normally, and my gas mileage averages 23-25mpg. When driving exclusively on the highway (long trips, etc.) I get upwards and sometimes over 30mpg.
Like I said, if you're doing mainly city driving you can expect to be around 20mpg or less as this car is a dog on gas in the city.....

Driving in NYC gets u that, I try to drive on the highway when I can. I get avg 220 to the tank to the tank which avgs to 18 or 19 mpgs. My trips are mainly from Brooklyn near JFK to Chinatown/Flushing/Queens Blvd/Upper West Side near GWB and sometimes Long Island. When I drove it on Road Trips to Boston and Philadelphia I would get like 30/33 mpg.

I average about 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. Transport Canada (the sticker in the back window when the car is new) rates the TL at 29 mpg city and 38 mpg Highway. I would like to know how they got that....... weird.....

I get 25 mpg on the highway on my '97 3.2 and my Dad's 03 base TL gets 32 mpg on the highway. We both drive at 75 mph or so. (Can't go any faster than that here since Oregon Highway Patrol is desperate for money)
