Gas milage jumped!
Normaly I get around 283 miles on my trip counter, and don`t give it a second thought. This time I got 348. That is a healthy jump. I did do one thing differant, I used redline fuel additive, but I used it two tanks ago. I was expecting to see a deferance last tank, but it stayed the same. This tank it jumped up, now it averaged out to around 28 mpg. I run like a rabbit! While in town I keep the car in D-4 locked in. I was pleasently surprised. I use only American high test, to tell you the truth, I wasn`t expecting to see any differance.
I figure I would share this with you all!

Well, wouldn't this also depend on how much gas you used? IMO, the trip meter doesn't mean anything -- just how many gallons of gas you put in. I mean, if you got 283 miles out of 10 gallons on the last tank, and got 348 out of 13 gallons this time, then the fuel additive didn't do much.
I refuse to put any kind of fuel additives in any of my cars. If it sounds too good to be true (such as claiming over 5 mpg increase) then it usually is.

First tank of gas I got 19 dead on and was disappointed, but resolved that it was brand spankin new and would get better. On my second tank now, only 1/4 way down and already better. I hope it keeps going up.

i get about 290 for 13 gallons in my 00TL. aroudn 22mpg, mixed highway and city driving..
i think it should be a little higher. But even on the highway i don't get 28mpg... i don't accelerate that hard either..

I get about 250-290 on 13 gallons in city/highway combo. If city driving only, it dips down to very low 200-mile range.
Then again, I have a very heavy foot, so that's not bad. I once really took it easy on a tank (God, it was so hard not to peg the go-pedal.. my foot was itching) and got nearly 250 in city only. Quite a difference from 200.

okay well I just passed 10 000 km on my car, which is supposedly the standard break in period for most cars. Anyways, as soon as I passed 10k, I noticed my gas mileage go from 350km per tank up to 470km tank...when you think about it, that's almost 30% up...so I mean, if you just finished your break in period, that could be it....
also depends sometimes what type of gas you use.
