Cool Gas Additives?

An earlier topic had mentioned that the additive Chevron uses to control emissions effects mileage, especially in hotter climates. This was never discussed further that I know of.

I just took a 600 mile trip, filled up with Chevron Supreme going and got 33.6 mpg. On the way back, filled up with BP 93 octane and got 36.06 mpg. While both are good, wondering if this could be the difference. All other stops etc...in the trip were equal with the exception of a stiff crosswind while receiving 36 mpg.

I generally receive 24+ mpg in all city driving; but this number decreased to around 22 mpg when the weather turned cold. This using Chevron.

Any ideas?

The best gas mileage i've gotten is using gas from a StopNGas, however they don't have a company name... the gas is from PA somewhere its not from wherever the hell else the other stuff comes from and theres no name like mobil, exxon, etc.
