Arggghhh! Some little punk stole my type S symbol from the back of my car yesterday at the Great Mall! I had just washed it and stuff the day before too! I bet it was some high school kid who now has it on his backpack at school. If i ever find out who it was.......

 

LoLz! Man this is becoming a common thing... Few months ago I had scratches around mine, I guess someone try to put a screwdriver or something and take it off...

 

This is why I debadged the 3.2TL TypeS from my car the week after I bought it... I figured I'd take it off the right way before some little punk tried it with a screwdriver....

Sorry about your car... if I were you, I'd leave it off now, don't get a new one. Plus, now your car is a sleeper!!

 

yeah, i took off the "3.2 TL' too. Figured it's not worth getting a new type S and sticking it on there then having some punk steal it again. Luckily the punk had enough courtesy to steal it properly and there are no scratch marks on the car. That was the only good thing out of the whole incident.

 

About 3 weeks after I purchase my car, a friend of mine saw that my type-s badge was hanging loose. It may be that your badge had fallen off by itself....go figure!

 

Debadging it is the best way to go. Looks a lot cleaner and those punks go nothing to steal.

 

Hearing about all this vandalism kind of makes me wish there were a law where we could put a baseball bat to these guys.

busterkw, I saw a blue tls turning left towards the great mall from abel on sunday... not sure about the exact time (3-4?). was that you? I was in a black tls making a right.

I think you don't have to worry about that... it takes a pro audio installer 10 minutes to take it out... it would be easier to take the car.

 

I'm not into the plain look on the back....I like having the badging on there. I believe it will tell other cars to step the #*%@ back!

I was at the Great Mall around 7pm on Sat. the 23rd. I parked in the second space closest to the front of the mall in front of the Great Eats Court entrance. It was surprising that someone would be so bold to steal it when i was so close to the entrance. And i didn't back in or anything so the emblem was in plain sight. I try to park as close as i can to the entrances just b/c there is more foot traffic so no one would get any ideas. But at least the punk was courteous when he stole it and didn't scratch the car.

My car is Aegean Blue, with the OEM kit.

 

I guess it all depends on the area you live in. I don't even live by the Great Mall, just trying to kill some time b/f i met up with some friends for dinner. I would reccommend "debadging" it now, after all i think i'd rather do it right, then have some thief try it and f*ck up my car. In san jose there are alot of places that have alot of ghetto asians. I am sure it was prob. some asian high schooler who wanted to look "cool" by putting on his backpack at school. Asians can be GHETTO like that. I am asian so i'm allowed to say that. hahaha

 

Damn...I'm thinking about debadging mine and putting adhesive back on it...with a little surprise...razor blades...just like the headlights...sucks guys

i remember when i was just a little kid, about 10 years old. sum1 tried to steal my dads radio out of his 84 Volvo. LOL. and it was in the garage, plus, i live in a real nice area in westchester. well, i guess my dad heard the alarm go off or something. and he went to the back of the garage and locked the back door, so the guy cudnt run out. and then my dad went back downstairs to get a Bball bat, but the guy ****ed around with the garage opener or something, and was able to open the garage door and jet. left a real nice screwdriver tho

Heh heh sounds like my little kid story. Back when I lived in Dunwoody, Atlanta GA, these kids would always come by people's garages at 4 am (no doors on the garages, open garages) and hotwire people's cars and take them joyriding...this was about...12 years ago. We knew they'd done this to our car once...and our neighbors etc. My dad rigged the doors to where they wouldn't open from the inside and the manual windows so they wouldn't roll down on his...I wanna say it was a Ford Bronco. So the next time the kids came by, the one hotwiring the car got locked in. My parents sat up that night waiting for him, and my dad had an extremely loud shotgun with blanks in it that he had set down to wait for them. So the hotwiring kid got locked in and couldn't get out. He ended up breaking the rear window to get out when my dad stepped out into our garage. The other kids started running and that kid trailed on behind...and my dad fired the shotgun with the blanks up into the air and scared them sh*tless. But my mom got a good look at the hotwiring kid...turns out he worked at McDonalds...but so she made it a point every day for the next week to go up there and order something from him just to freak him out. He ended up quitting I hope if some kid ever tries to jack stuff of my car I catch him like that sometime

Yea it happens. It happen to me like a few months ago. I was pissed and I told my friends about it. Now I have like 5 type s signs. WANT ONE??? My buddy ole pals got them for me. ANd I am serious if you want one

Thats cool, Thanks for the offerthough. I just decided it was easier to debadge and not have to worry about anything being pryed off. And hopefully no one will be desperate enough to steal the acura symbol! There are enough acura's out there..... steal some ricer's symbol instead!

 

Soory to hear that, those punks are stealing them and putting them on their Civics and stuff like that!

 

Thats why Im glad I live in Texas...CHL(concealed handgun license) Man, i wish some1 tried to jakk something from me
