Full nose bra

Has anyone put the Acura full nose bra on? I just did mine since I got it with the car. It's a pain in the butt. I worry the snap button may come off since it doesn't look too strong to me? Anyone experience any problem with the full nose on? Thanks.

Becareful with bras ,,,while they will protect your car from getttin road rash if you leave them on for an extended length of time with out removing it you will have two different shades of paint being that the part under the bra will be protected from the wind n sun .......and it will also trap alot of moisture .

Weighting bra benefits/shortcomings, it only makes sence to put it on for for short period of time when you put a lot of miles on the car - like a few hundred miles drive. If bra is on all the time, all kinds of crap end up underneath, and as bra moves a little as you drive because of the wind, there is a good chance you paint will be damaded more WITH it than without it.

I like Colgan's 2 piece much better. Excellent fit (no flapping) and you can pop the hood without undoing it. I cover my car everyday at work so I don't believe sun damage will be a problem. Also, regular detailing/frequent washing will help. I have no scratches, no fading, and best of all, no road rash

I have the bra (OEM), and only use the top portion, as the bottom portion is way too much of a pain to install. Also, I am more worried about the metal hood, than the plastic bumper. Also, I take the bra off regularily to keep the paint of the same shade.

I have one I put on for long roadtrips, but other than that I never have it on my car....but it does keep the front end looking nice after a long drive.

One word..............Armourfend. Or X-Pel. It is the ultimate in paint and chip protection.
I had it installed...full kit ...in February.

This is why I never put the bra on in 2 years. I just put the whole thing on because I might take my ride for a short trip for my week off. After the painful crap I went thru putting it on, I really don't feeling taking it off.

I don't know why you guys are having such a hard time with it. Sure, the first time is kinda tough. It only takes me five minutes to put it on these days (and I have to loosen the front bolt on the RH fender to do it.)

I use the nosemask for any out of town roadtrips and take it off soon after I get back home. Before I put it on I wash the car and put on a coat of Z6. No scratches yet and it has been on during a rainstorm or two and collected quite some crud under there.

Dude, I think you can be in the Guiness Record book, 5mins for the full bra. That's heck of fast. We should have a putting full bra on contest. The bet will be our cars

Wow, pink slips for the fastest bra install? You're on. Riiiight! OK, you got me, it may not be 5, but it's close.

To speed things up, I don't remove the snaps under the fenders or put the plugs back in under the hood. The biggest pain is that I have to loosen up that fender bolt. Otherwise, I can't get the bra between the pointed part of the fender and the headlight housing's rubber edge.

I still don't get why you have to loosen the fender, that's a big job to me. I was able to slide the corner between the the headlight and the fender. But I just noticed today the darn thing is pulling the headlight rubber seal up, I have to re-adjust it a bit. Hopefully the seal will glue back itself.
