Unhappy fueling problem on my 99 3.2 tl

I bought my Acura used last April and noticed since, that the nozzle trigger at any gas pump, releases every 2 seconds. I tried to re-sit the nozzle and still the same problem. The only way it lasts longer is when i ease up on the trigger, pumping the gas at a lower rate. I only gas-up at Sunoco ultra 94. But tried other stations for testing purposes and the same happens everywhere I go. Anyone has any information regarding this issue, like past posts or Acura reports? Especially in the winter instead of taking 2 mins to fuel it takes me 5 mins to freeze my a$$ off...

Thanks

Lawrence

When you first open you gas cap, take a pen or pencil and poke down on the metal piece that prevents the fumes from coming out of your tank. Hold it for a few seconds so that the pressure equalizes.
Other option is to tilt the nozzle 90 degrees from the down position. If the rubber part does not seal properly, you should be able to fill faster.
Lastly, don't wait till your tank is empty. You should have less problems if you fill the tank when it is at a quarter or more.

Let us know how it turns out.

I've had this problem since day one. It's really annoying but I've grown used to it. And as for that metal piece that prevents fumes from coming out, I remember all of my previous honda's have had that but it cought me as odd that my TL didn't have it.
