fyi

Some members here have reported lower octane actually decreases fuel efficiency to the point where it's actually cheaper to use premium.

You can also register your car on acura.com where you'll have online access to the owner's manual.

there is a section iirc in FAQ on how to post- or search post pictures
You put them on a webhost like imageshack- then make a post here and copy the links to 'display pic on thread'
put that link in your post and the pic automatically appears

Premium, Super, whatever it is called out in your area.

Recently I let my mom use my car for the day and she thought she was being nice so she put gas in my car for me. She put regular in. I ended up having a decrease of 30 miles from that tank.

"Premium Unleaded Fuel ONLY" on the fuel door on mine. There has been a lot of discussion on pros and cons of this in the past. I just stick with premium in the short time I have owned this car.

All my car has ever seen is Ultra 94 from sunoco (94 octane is the highest you can get in Ontario). My suggestion, put the best gas in, I notice a difference from when my car is running 91 octane and 94 octane.

Well V-Power is the best gas out there IMO. I used that a couple times and my car ran GREAT!

shell uses the same transport lines for their gasoline that multiple other big oil companies use...

(V-Power) is splashing and mixing around with texaco, chevron, techron, bp and even mom and pop no brand stores as we speak.

brand means nothing unless it is an Ethanol/non-ethanol difference...
and of curse diff. octanes are transported seperately. but not brands...

learned this long ago.

It would still happen. We dont have it mine still clog. Using seafoam really reduces it though.

First the govt was convinced--several years/decades ago that this new stuff would be the miracle thing for adding to gas--and mandated its use

Then they were told that MTBE sucked--when they figured out it was polluting the groundwater and killing the Earth--ooops--had to discontinue its use
and the new thing to use was food~ dededeeeeee

Ethanol replaced MTBE at the max dilution amount car makers say the engine will still run on-10%
Car runs much worse and leaves behind more crud in the engine and a different issue of pollution
Why wont acura make a real hybrid or cylinder shutdown system??
