fuel cooling
hey does ne one think that cooling your fuel before it goes into ur carborator is a good idea? what are the affect? i have no idea i jus know this is sumthing they sell that you can do and i am wondering what it TRULY does? or is it bs?

makes the fuel denser so more can be injected into the combustion chamber
Fuel density isn't substantially changed within the realm that you can affect it with any cooler out there. Cool cans are sometimes used on carbureted race cars to prevent/prolong the time it takes for fuel to boil in the carb fuel bowls, which are not pressurized. Note the race car aspect here- an application where engine heat, and thus heat rejected to the carb body, is substantial.
This is irrelevant with fuel injection (which includes nearly all automobiles made since the late 80s), as the fuel rail is at 40+ psi.
