Have a '99... took my car to the dealer a month or so ago to have my driver's seat looked at... it rocks back and forth, and makes creeking noises when accelerating and braking...

they said they replaced the rails in the drivers seat, and seems to have been fixed... but i'm starting to notice that the seat is rocking again and starting to make the creeking noises... on top of that, i've noticed that the front passenger seat is starting to do the same...

has anyone encountered this same problem w/ their front seats? is this typical of power seats?

Actually, I have this problem as well. Not so much the rocking but the creaking sound everytime I corner / brake. Real annoying and I plan to get it checked before warranty dries up!

 

There's a service bulletin for that, I had the same problem but now it's fixed..they change the seat rails to eliminate the problem.

That's what they said they did to mine... it seemed fine for the first few weeks, but it's starting to have the same old symptoms...

how long ago did they fix your seat, and did you eventually hear the same creeking again?

No more creaking, no more rocking.. I had it fixed back in May of '01.
