When I bought my replacement LGM 01 TL for my WDP 00 that was wrecked back in Feb., I liked how sharp the body kit looked on it. The first thing I noticed was how low the front lip was, and I thought to myself "it'll be no time before I bottom out and scrape it up". Well, I have done this a few times, and today was the worst. It's not noticeable unless you're down there but when you are up close it looks bad. How much are they to replace? I've only found ones for the Gen 3s online.

I am just so pissed off. I mean with this car, you damn near have to stop to approach steep grades or bumps. It's not like I go flying around all the time but it's so low, it's annoying. I just hate that it looks like ass now. I'm afraid if I get another one, it'll just get beat up too. I never understand why people lower their cars, that's just asking for the bottom to get ripped out of it. It's really more of a hassle than it's worth to have this damn thing on there.

 

Nevermind I found it on Delray Acura's site. Looks like $134 shipped, but do they come painted? They are listed by color in the parts list but when added to the cart it does not mention color. Just wonder if it's worth replacing if this one will get scratched up too eventually.

 

You just have to learn to drive it. My car is dumped WITH the lip kit, and I'm fine.

 

I'm at stock height with the OEM lip kit, and I haven't scraped on anything. I plan to lower my car with Tein Basics. You just have to be very careful, and drive slowly on an angle when pulling in to parking lots, or speed bumps.

 

yeah i'm also dumped completely in the front with a lip and i'm fine.. and i go through the WORST city roads and driveways ever (paterson, passaic)
