Front license plates

Do the holes for the front license plate come pre-drilled from the factory, or does the dealer do it once the car arrives?

My ride is on order, and if the dealer is the one who drills the holes, do you think it's possible for me to instruct them not to drill the holes even if it is state law?????

Thanks.

the holes on mine weren't drilled right into the bumper... it sits under the front vent. , which I thought was nicely designed!

Have them check it up! It wouldn't hurt to ask 'em not to...

My dealer used an L-bracket to mount the plate. That came off in a hurry.

MAKE SURE THEY DON'T! jyang411's were drilled right into the front of the bumper (and I think he got it from the sh*tty dealer out here in Austin, the only one, which in that case I wouldn't expect any better from). So make sure to tell them that.

DO NOT LET THEM DRILL HOLES IN YOUR BUMPER -- Acura has 2 pre-drilled holes in the center of the lower "grille" in your lower bumper -- to which an L shaped bracket will screw and then be up over the front pointy part of your bumper.... Make sure if u use it you put some electrical tape or foam on the back of it where it touches the bumper to avoid scrapey scratches down the road

Thanks for the info guys. This was something that I never thought about until this weekend when it hit me...I don't want holes drilled into my new ride!

I took a trip out to my dealer this morning and saw that they have the under bumper bracket that you all were referring to, no drilled holes in bumper. So that's cool. I'm still going to call to ensure that no holes are drilled though.
