Question Front heated seats question

I am not entirely sure how the heated seats work, but if you were to reupholster the front seats with new leather are their special precautions that need to be taken so that the heating ability of the seats are not damaged?

Thanks.

Why are you wanting to reupholster?

I'm assuming if you're going to get it done, it'll get done by a reputable trim shop. If so, they should be very comfortable with handling the heating elements.

If you don't have someone, check with a Honda dealer. Since the Odyssey didn't come with factory leather, many dealers were selling aftermarket leather packages contracted through local trim shops. Friends of ours had it done on their Odyssey, and it looks OEM.

I'm getting my front seat leather replaced also, but thru Superior Acura, they use an autohrized aftermarket trim/upholster shop. I dont think it will affect on my heated seats.

Don't forget to check if the upholstery is compatible with your side air bags (if any)!
