Post Front Grille Intrest...

I have read all the "how to make your own grill for $10", but I just can't get it... My manual dexterity and carpentry suck...

My real question is, DOES ANYONE WANT TO MAKE ONE AND SELL IT TO ME???

I'm pretty desperate and willing to pay a fair amount for labor and parts... PLEASEEEE, I'm begging...

I would love to buy a grill from Tim,
but $500 for the Blaze grill is out
of my budget for a grill.
$200-300 for another brand.

Count me in for one also... if anyone is making it...

Can a regular silver emblem be used instead of the one that came with the grill with the "wings".

Why doesn't one of you call GrillCraft, they make OEM billet grills for cars, like Civics and Integra's im sure they could make a group buy kinda thing if a bunch of you got involved.

Cool

I've seen RedHotTL's grill. it is pretty awesome, especially that the grill is actually a 'gutter guard' purchased at the hardware store. I'm driving my TL up to have him help me.

Thumbs up

KEEZ - I live in the DC area as well (NOVA) and I made my grille and it only took like 30 minutes. I'm going to re-do mine this weekend and if you want, we can hook up and we'll make two of them...and no charge!
Just email me if you're interested! Hell, anyone in the DC area interested, we can make this a grille fest!

PhiTL, I saw that you use the 5 pack gutter guard from Home Depot and I got the same thing. Managed to finish the grill and put it on yesterday. What a PITA! How did you get yours to be so smooth. Mine kinda bulges where the emblem screws on to the back of the black plastic. It looks ok from the front but looking at it from the side, it looks a little bulged out in the center.

Also, I found it to be a little easier if you use some strings to temporarily hold the gutter grill to the black plastic backing when you reattach the chrome frame.

Mind does kinda buldge a little bit due to the platform where the Acura symbol sits on.
I'll see if I can get a closer pic or something.

Here's mine. The grill is unpainted. That's how it looks like straight from Home Depot. It's really not that difficult - just need a little patience. I messed up the first time because I didn't account for the fact that the grill will have to curve over the mounting area of the emblem (good thing the grill came in a 5 pack). It's still not perfect but it'll do for now. If someone can create a template, that would really help those wanting to make their own grills.
