Front Armrest loose!

My armrest has come loose. It wiggles side to side and theres alot of play to it. It stays shut but pokes a bit up. It closes and all but is just loose it shurely doesnt feel stable or a solid like it was when new. Is there anyway have having it tighten up or would I have to replace the arm rest.

Mine has some play in it as well. Plus I wore out all the cushion in it. I bought another one of that whole console but to lazy to attempt to switch them out.

I have had to tighten the screws several times. They keep coming loose. Missing one/guess I need to replace it.

my screws come loose every once in awhile, but luckily they fall right into the compartment so they are really easy to find

Try a smaller hardware store like ACE or OSH, usually the big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes won't have that much selection. I found mine at ACE.

I just bought my TL and was playing with the console (at night). I'm thinking, wow, this is built pretty bad. Wonder why it shakes so much. I checked it out during the day and it's missing 5 little tiny screws. Part number is 93600-04012-0G. I'm not sure what links I can post with different advertising and sponsors for this site, (mod edit at your will ) but it tracked it down here: http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...ll&vinsrch=yes

I've contacted my dealer though. I was told to just bring it in and they'll take care of it.

I've never taken those particular screws out before, but if they are long enough, add some lock washers underneath to stop them from getting loose all the time.

Double check them and make sure you have ALL of them. The same thing would happen to mine and it turned out I was missing some screws and some were loose. If it's still popping up then you might have a worn latch and need to replace it.

Yeah mine actually came off not too long ago. Yeah four screws would fix - but get this!

When my dad took the car in for new wheels, they charged him a whole bunch for other crap, and one of them included "FIXED ARMREST: $40" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, so just fix it with the screws yourself.

Here is a little idea. Mine came loose a few times and i pulled the screws out and put locktite on them Havent come loose since.

IfAcuraWasAgirl... if yours looks dingy try cleaning it with soft scrub (without bleach) Its great at cleaning leather. It works great on seats too.
