also does anyone know where the damn list is at? i cant find the list where the participating honda dealerships are at?

Sounds like a waste of time to me, unless you have an older model Honda/Acura with over 60,000 miles on it. Then they will still tell you all the bogus stuff that needs replaced so that they can make money in the long run. Sure, they'll pass out coupons for easy service and then advise you that you MUST replace this and that in order to stays safe, etc.

I'd only go to see if anybody had any REAL reports or updates regarding the tranny issues. Again, I'm sure they have been briefed by a major "BS" Public relations policy to diffuse the topic. "Everything is under control now, Honda has gone out of their way to extend 1.6 million cars with a 100K warranty, etc, etc.... meanwhile, nobody will be able to tell you if they have actually identified the culprit, and that the odds or your second or third tranny are any better than the first... THAT's WHAT I WANT TO HEAR!

If anybody goes, please keep us informed as to whether or not the free hotdog and balloon was worth it... I could be wrong and you MIGHT come away with some REAL satisfaction and some REAL news...

Yes this is true. My mom got a post card from our local acura dealer, not the dealer she bought her car from , but just the local acura dealer. They say free car inspection and a written report, don't have to buy/repair/replace anything, they are just suggestions. She has a 99 TL, I have a 02 TL-S and i didn't recieve a postcard from them...so i don't really konw who qualifies for it. or if any Acura can get a free inspection.
