Freakin' Tree Sap!!!

Sup guys... sometimes when I park my 2001 TL-P under a tree, I'll come back to find all this damn sticky tree sap on the car!!! And it's like impossible to remove too!!! :banghead: I was washing it again this weekend and tried everything and have been unsuccessful in removing it. Have any of you had those problem before and know how to treat it? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Don't laugh, but Skin-So-Soft by Avon works really well for me. Soak a cotton ball in it and dab the area so it really gets on the sap.

Let it sit for a minute thenpick it off with your fingernail. It seems to work better for me when it's out of the sun.

I guess you can always use the clay bar to remove it. I havent done the clay yet on mine, so anyone with clay experience feel free to chime in here....

Thumbs up

Mothers Clay bar kit has been a savior for my TL twice and once on the family minivan.
The first time was the dreaded tree sap.. hood/top/trunk was covered. It took an hour s work and it got ALL off.
The second time was from my own stupidity.... I sprayed some spar varnish on a woodworking project and covered the front of the minivan and a little got on the trunk of the TL.
That Clay bar kit it worth every penny

after you get them off, i suggest you either park somewhere else or get a car cover. tree saps and bird $hit are the worst for any car finishes.
