I know it's not a standard feature on the 03 TL but I was wondering how to do this. By tugging on the rear seats it really seems as if they can come down. I'm pretty sure when I had my stereo installed the installers moved the rear seats down.

 

they are bolted down between the top and bottom seat along the seam ( three bolts can take the bottom and the back out.. then slide the rear seat up twords the rear window. Don't start tuggin' on it, it doesn't fold down, it has to go up and then foward.

 

there had been an extensive discussion in regards to this matter.... the conclusion people draw was that it's best to leave it alone... something about that the car structure had not been design to have the rear seat folded down... that the fixed positions of the bolts is there to help the car while turning and stuff...

I can't remember exactly what they've said... maybe a search on the topic would help.
