Trust me, read the DIY carefully and it's really easy. Do the second version so you don't have to turn the parking lights on.

Just follow the directions, they are very good. It's really easy. It took me about 20 minutes to do the first time because I was being extra careful to double-check every step, and it took me 10 minutes when I did it again to a friend's car.

.... i was the same way, the DIY is hard to understand if you have no idea what ur talkin about, i gave a friend a call and he told me how over the phone, its REALLY easy once you realize what you have to do but untill then its confusing as hell... i somehow managed to clip the wire that triggers the green indicator light when the fogs are on so that doesnt light up anymore... but byfar prob my fav "mod" ive done to my car yet.....

...and it's good that you're not just going to start hacking away at wires like most people do (including me) and just try and figure it out. You can really mess things up if you don't know what you're doing. Just make sure to disconnect the battery and follow the directions very carefully and you'll be fine.

it's pretty easy if you follow the instruction exactly. One thing can make it easier for you to understand is to print out or bring your laptop to your car. Look at the instruction on the printout or the laptop then compare to what it looks like at the driverside fuse box. Once you see it, you will understand what to do.

Why should you disconnect the battery? There's no need to. Just don't put your key in the ignition. And I agree with LacViet, print it out so you can read while doing it instead of remembering it and you can easily mess up that way.

Even without your key in the ignition, the battery is still sending power throughout the car. Disconnect the battery just as a precaution so you don't short anything out.

When doing any kind of wiring disconnect the battery. Will it hurt?
