I do not know if this is normal, but my fog lights won't light up when I have the headlights off. I have seen others that have their fogs on with the headlights off. Furthermore, some folks can turn on their corners and turn their fogs on, I can do neither.... is this normal for 2003... or is this a mod that needs to be done for the fogs to turn on by themselves (without the headlights)?????

 

yep its a MOD... but there's a DYI somewhere

 

#1. Take off your inner fuse box cover.
#2. Un-plug your ambient lighting control.
#3. Take apart the lower plastic portion located underneath your steering wheel.
#4. Un-plug your foglight switch.
#5. Cut the electric tape to reveal 5 wires going into your foglight switch.

1. White/Blue - Ground side of indicator light (green light that shows fogs are on)
2. Blue/Red - Power to passenger side footwell relay
3. White/Red - Power from headlight switch
4. Red/Black - Power from taillight relay
5. Red - Connection to dash light brightness controller

Splice wire 3. and 4. and then wrap both 3. and 4 some electric tape. Make sure that there are no bare wires hanging out.

yea I did this mod, its hot. other TL owners in my parking look look twice

I did it without the parking and I think that looks better.... others think differntly though
