just 2 days ago I purchased a '99 TL satin-silver. I am having a tough time finding some foglights, I would like them to either be or look like stock. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can find some besides Ebay? and can I put the '99 type-S tail lights on my car or are they different shaped?

 

Welcome to ATL.com. To answer your questions:

There are no factory fog lights for the '99-01 TL. The corner pockets you see on the front bumper is basically fake. Only the '02 and up TLs have fog lights.

You can install aftermarket fog lights, but it is a major pain in the butt to do. Do a search on fog lights, and look for posts that Songoku and I have made regarding our fog light mods. Read up on it and you can decide for yourself if you want the hassle of having fog lights.

When you say '99 Type-S tail lights, are you referring to the '02 clear tail lights? If you are, then yes you can. The Type-S was not available in 1999, as it only came out in 2002.

 

yeah man, the closest think to OEM fogs would prolly be the CATZ MSR which are about $270. if ur really serious bout gettin the OEM fogs, u could buy the JDM Inspire bumper from japan and the OEM fogs, but that'll cost u a packet. so it all depends on what u plan on spending.
