Fog lights?

I'm driving a 1999 acura tl with kaixen 6000k low beams, my piaa fog lights just recently died and I need to replace the whole ting. I want to replace it with the stock acura fog lights but with hid in it to match my low beams. What should I go with, any suggestions please or links.

there were no factory fogs on 99 so no direct plug and play
Some members have adapted accord lights into the holes with a lot of modding
Or go to walmart and get a set of driving lights, attach to lower grill/bumper

Look at the box for 6000k if you want a matched look, or 3000 for actual fog use

You'll need an HID kit to go HID. What fog light are you running? Accord? Civic?

Just find the bulb size on Sylvania's website and get the HID kit for that.

I've yet to buy the stock fog lights because I put in piaa fog lights long time ago. Then fog lights died so I need to change them out. Ok I understand now, I need to get a HID kit to do what I want correct?

The 99 never had "stock" fog lights. That's why I was saying find out what fog light housing you're using to get the bulb #. Actually, what PIAA bulb did you buy back then? That's the bulb size you'd need.

I got my HID kit from here: https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/hid-special-%2460-shipped-acurazine-members-723872/

There are DIY for both the Accord fogs and the Civic fogs. You will get have to get an HID kit. You can get it from this site.

http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=102&parent=85

Many people have them and like them.

The 6000K is a close match to the Kaixen 6000K.

Do you guys have the fog lights hooked up to your side markers?

I want to do this but I dont want to hook it up to my side markers because everytime I lock or unlock my car, the HID fogs will turn on and off quickly which isnt good.

Or do you guys have it hooked up with a switch just for the fogs alone? Where do you get power from.

Srb tapped into something in the interior but not the side markers. I can't exactly remember but you have hop onto his thread or PM him. All I know is the key has to be turned in order for them to turn on. I was in a rush because I kept telling my girlfriend it wouldn't take long and it ended up being almost 6 hours (Srb and another friend of mine were screwing around a lot) and I ended up just running a fused power line in wired to a switch.

mine is tapped into the parking lights, but i also have the factory switch (from the 02-03's) and i turn that off so it won't do the flash with the lock unlock.

..."dc power thing" Huh?

Just probe around in a nearby fuse box with a meter (key switched how you want it). It's not hard.
