it can be done but will require modification do the socket or housing and of course you need the ballast and everything..

. he wants to get rid of the halogen bulbs and convert the foglight to HID, that way the fogs match the headlights output, look better and are more usefull!

my only question is it says D2R/D2S.....does that mean i can only use them with those bulb types??? that doesn't make sense...
so what plugs into the red things on the end of the ballast wire?
i just need to know if those two ballasts and bulbs will work for a complete kit. i think these hellas have ignitors built in. thanks a lot.

okay, a follow-up to my previous post....i emailed the seller of the above auction, and he says to use his hella ballasts for 9006 fog hids, you need this:
This page is the instruction for installation on your existing Hella or Philips HID conversion Kit.
One set of Connecting Jack contains
Installation Flowchart
1. Cut the wire of ballast
2. Put the thicker(white) wire through the hole of rubber ring and connect a male iron socket (1) and then put a male socket (A).
Put the thin(black) wire through the hole of rubber ring and connect a female iron socket (2) and then put a female socket (B).
3. Connect the ballast jacks to the bulb jacks
4. Finished picture
I have never heard of doing this before. This is all just for using hella brand ballasts.....is it worth doing all this conversion stuff, or just get a kit like the one below that has 100% plug and play connectors?? i'm really confused with this ballast quality stuff. i'd really apprecaite it. -shawn
