sup- all this talk about you "doing" and "undoing"....you SHOULD only be connecting the 3rd and 4th wire in the switch wire harness....the UNDOING should be separating the wires.....your headlights REMAIN UNAFFECTED. Is what i said the same as you're experiencing? nothing can happen by doing the foglight mod. i did it last week, i did it in 45 mins...(took a while cuz i also had to hardwire my V1). -shawn

What you really want to do is fake the switch into thinking the headlights are on. they should not flash. the fogs will flash with parking when arming and disarming if u cross those two. i used a constant source when the key is in, so basically i can turn them on w/o parking lights also.

i tapped the acc for now, but there are tons of different places. I used a diode too to protect it as well. no flicker... flickering HIDs fogs is no good... i dont think flickering halogens are good either.

You can get that brand or of the same "crap" quality (so i've heard, no personal expereince with them) for MUCH cheaper than that.
I got Philips, everyone stands behind that name. Of course they would cost more, new depending on Kelvin rating $400 to $500 with warranty.
I got mine used for about $350 shipped, the $500 6000K ones.

Install I would say was easy for me. I can remove the bumper like that and I know how to wire it correctly and safely. But i guess shouldn't be too hard, I did it for a couple of people on the forum already.
I'll post a pic of only the HID fogs on when I get home.. w/o parking lights fog light mod...

hmmm will this tempt you some more?
The regular bulbs blow more often than the stock. The stock are the best for life wise, color wise...eh its okay. HIDs are next best for life only because they cost so much more. If you spend like $50 on those "good" bulbs on ebay... after it blows once or twice, you are at $150. Another $50 or $150 you could of gotten a used or new HID kit.

I think most people are just lazy about tapping another fuse instead of tying two wires together. lazy bums.
