Hi Guys got a new set of real hid's put in and while they were gettin done i asked the guy to wire my fogs to work alone w/o havin the head lights on and I asked him to hide the switch so he put a swich under the dash but reachable while im drivin it cost like 30 bucks I know the mod on the site wouldnt cost me anything but this was easier and im not one 2 play w wires.thanx

Whatever works for you. I have never messed around with wires and stuff but this mod cost me $0.57 for a clip and only took 20 mins of my time.

 

nym31mp - You should of e-mailed me I would of helped you do it. I figured out how to do it with the FAQ. It took me a few minutes. Next time let me know I love projects.

it took me longer to read that faq instruction than it took to do the mod...!!!

 

hey im tryin to rewire my fogs and i took everything off. my first problem is i cant get the switch out but t dats no problem cause i just disconnected the harness while it was in place..

please help me with the splicing part. i have wire cutters and wire connectors but i saw a pic and it didnt look at the spliter i got. please show me pics or let me know how to do this

 

the easiest thing to do when u dont have the proper clamps, is simply splice and tape together the specified wires(i dont recall off the top of my head). i took this route cause i figured it would take too damn long to go to the store and look for that stupid clamp.

of course, if u have the clamp, u dont have to splice...go figure. it still took me less than 5 mins to do the actual mod.

 

With my foglight mod, do the sidemarker lights have to be on?

nym31mp, so your fogs work without anything having to be on right?

 

how much was the install for just the hids?
