This a.m. on the Southbound Florida Turnpike from Plantation to Miami-Dade I saw 5 other TL. 2 Anthracite, 2 NBP, & 1 WDP. Yesterday, I experienced and witnessed a choreographic display as two gold tl and one NBP tl were traveling in front of my NBP all in a line all in my lane. I got a bit curious and shifted to the lane to my right to get a better view of the rides... Almost on cue, the black TL got in front of me on the right lane as both gold TL were shifting onto the far left lane. Then we caught up with traffic and it disrupted the ballet...

One thing I have been noticing is the lack of friendlyness, or even acknoledgement from the other TL drivers (I know they are not that much into their rides, but, how can you not be )? Of all the TL I see on my daily comutes... I think once there was a NBP with tints that smiled and gave the ol' head-nod when I gave the thumbs up to him.

But hey... I am just babblin'..

i only honk when i see TL-S's like mine... other TL-S i nod and give a smile.

 

hey, I go to MIA a lot too, but whenever i see another TL it's, most of the time, someone who isn't a car enthusiast...but i'm on the turn pike a lot, my house is actually 2 min from it in orlando, but now i'm at FSU either way i'm on the turnpike whether it's MIA or FSU, i have a stock NHB TL with mesh grill, if you see me just honk...

 

I live in Miami and if i see another CL/TL that looks like someone that cares I either honk of flash my highbeams. Usually I dont get a response.

 

im in north miami and the only time ive gotten an aknowledgement was when this red 2001 cl tried to race me. Haha i beat the pants off of him. My car isnt a type S for nuthin.

i know what u mean. i see alot of older people in tls and thats the only reason i may not get a tl-s to replace my cl-s/ i still love it and think its the nicest car in its class, but ****, its the most common car in south fl except the camry. I have been given the eye of the New Maxima, but the G35 is my next logical choice for replacemnts of my cl-s, the coupe that is. I wish i saw more enthusiest around the fl area. ill keep lookin

 

Well Kman156 that wasnt me,i have a black TL, w/ 19" BR5's, but my friend, we will meet one day. But as for acknowledging other TL's I try to, as well as check what they have, Im happy,I still havent seen 1 w/ all the things i have(but im sure they're out there)..
But the other day iwas in kendall making a left on the light and a CL-S black was coming the other way, he honked and made gestures that his car was the ****, i totally laughed, this guys car was totally stock, young kid, brash, how can u not like him...But if u guys see a black TL-s on 19"s BR5s thats me, by all means say whats up....

I am sorry a lot of you have not gotton responses!!!! I have had my tls for almost a year, and I have only had a couple of dudes either honk or flash their lights at me, I always aknowledge them!!!


My first new car was back in 1997, a Red Jetta! At least back then, when Jettas were not as common as they are now, a lot of fellow Jetta owners would honk and say hi to each other, especially fellow RED Jetta owners!!!! It was fun

But then when I got my second car, 99 CL in three years that I had the car I didnt get a single response.

OH WELL!!!!

 

Yeah I used to try to acknowledge other Accords but wouldn't get a response. So I kinda stopped. Recently there was another Accord coming from the opposite way. I wave high, and this probably 18 yr old kid, does a little drop thing since he had airbags. Yeah I was real impressed with his ghettoness. I should have purged at him to say hi. Some girl did honk at me and when I finally passed her in traffic I waved back. That was the only positive response I've ever gotten.

 

i saw a black tl-s yesterday. im in miami, florida btw. it had oem body kit, spoiler, and was dropped... it was on bird road and around 112 avenue. is it from anyone here? i honked at you!! hehe... oh an i was going the other way... i was in an ssm tl-s... i had my windows down... maybe u saw me.

 

Today there was a I4 Accord in front of me with TYC tails, I punched it a bit to check em out but this guy must have thought I wanted to race him because he started accelerating and switching lanes like a madman trying to outrun me..needless to say he didnt get very far..and almost caused an accident....what a loser..I don't even bother with the 4-cylinders....

well it was last thursday and it looked like it was on stocks and tucking a little... btw... i also have a type-s so im sure if anything we'll stay the same distance.

ok so now i've seen a bunch of tl's. i saw 2 yesterday and one today. the first 2 where ssm 2002-03 type-s. one had the body kit, spoiler, tips, and some rims and it was dropped. i saw it in my school... FIU. it was in the parking garage on the 3rd floor.

the 2nd one i saw at night... around 7. it was ssm and had eyelids on the headlights (it was liek a silver plastic piece around the top edge of the headlights, it looks ok). it was alos dropped with bodykit... i didnt check if it had a spoiler.

and today i saw another black tl on 137 ave and bird road... it was a 99 though. it was some older guy. it had the type-s stocks, kit, dropped pretty nice, and spoiler.

are any of these rides from people here? if they are maybe you have seen me. i have a 2003 ssm tl-s. kit, dropped, spoiler, no tints.

 

I know that we are all crossin' each other's paths all the time down here in S. FL. One day, we'll all meet :-D

 

hey stiletto... i saw a '99 tl a few months ago at the muvico (the big pyramid one) in broward.... it had the wings west body kit... dont remember the colors... i think it was like silver or some dark color. maybe it was urs? im always between braddock high school and FIU down here in kendall.

 

Today I saw a white TL-S on 107 ave. between kendall drive and 104 st. heading south the only noticeable mod was a drop......The guy waved and high beamed and I waved back are you here?

 

Ahhhh, no, STR8ACURA, that was not me. I have a bone stock NBP 2002 TLS. From now on, If I am riding, I'll be like you, however, and just honk if I see one like mine...

 

Yesterday I saw a SSM TL-S with eyelids, lowered on probably H&R's, OEM kit, & Lowenhart BR5's silver w/ polished lip .......I talked to the guy but forgot to ask if he was on the board......Also, this was on bird and 67th ave. at around 9:00 PM .........I wanted to race him but my bottle was empty and my axle's are bad

 

I've seen alot of nice TL's and CL's around here in Kendall. We need a Miami meet!

 

im always looking for nice tls here in broward, and i barely ever seem any.. theres one blue one with nice rims and exhaust.. some stupid guy in a black one thought he was cool trying to show me hes ghetto rims.. and thats really it... but i firmly agree we need a miami or broward meet. im all about that..
