Fixed mounts, vacuum lines??

Fixed mounts, vacuum lines??

My XLR8 mounts came today and I'm planning to put them on this weekend, time allowing. When I install the fixed mounts what do I do w the vacuum line from the factory mounts??

Yeah, cap the vacuum lines. Please let us know what you went thru for the rear mount. Best of luck to you.

Will capping the mounts cause excess vibration???

I ordered fixed mounts so there's nowhere to hook the vacuum lines that's why I have to cap them. Leaving them uncapped will create issues. Should I follow the lines back to the source and cap them there or just zip tie the loose line down and cap it?? I'm hoping to get started (and finished) w installing these plus my DC headers this weekend.

I would zip tie it, and cap it at the end of the line. That way, you can go back to OEM if you want.

The OEM mounts use vacuum to soften the mounts at idle. This allows them to have minimal vibrations.

The XLR8 mounts don't use vacuum lines to adjust the stiffness, so the lines must be capped.
