To fix or not to fix help?
To fix or not to fix help?
I need some advice on whether to fix my car or not.
I basically need a new hood since i rear ended someone and messed up only maybe one square foot of the corner but it still needs to be replaced.
The car did not hit hard but the truck in front had a spare tire on the back so that pushed the corner of the hood in it there was no tire there would have been no damage.
Anyway
The thing is i plan on selling the car in January since i am getting a company car.
I obviously want to sell my car for the most money so i was wondering if i should sell as is dropping the price some or fix it and then sell it.
I rather not deal with fixing it but if it is going to make a big difference when it comes time to sell it i would consider doing so.
Thanks

Cars with unrepaired damage will take a big hit on the selling cost. Generally you'd be better off fixing it.
Estimate the resale value of the repaired car with KBB.com and/or Edmunds.com. Be aware that KBB.com estimates can run high.
Get a couple of estimates for the repair.
Take the estimated resale price for the repaired car and subtract the repair cost. Then decide if you could sell it "as is" for that amount.
