fitting a double din dvd player

I want to get this Kenwod dvd : http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2557 I have only seen a single din bracket with a pocket on the bottom. I have sen some ppl having two single dins stereos in their setups. Does anyone know if anyone makes it or can do a custom bracket for me?

PS picked up TL-S w/55k on August 10th, 2004, tranny died after 3 days. Took a week for Acura to replace it. The night picked it up from service, gotta ticket for $620. We'll see how it will hold.

I have a double din system in my TL. What I did was buy the Metra kit and modify it to make it double din. You can get a custom one made for about $300.

dude that things gonna look fuqin awesome , , specially if you have NAVI. I have a metra kit in my dash with Alpine CDA 7998 for now. I think therez enough room for some customization with the Metra kit, so that you can put a double DIN sized HU in it . good luck and post some pix if you get it done, lata.

it is a real nice unit. i did the research on it when i was shopping around. i went another route however. if you have the NAVI tho, why dont you just convert the nav screen to play dvd's? it would make more sense. thats assumin u have one. custom fiberglass housing can be made by a local shop. the one in ny i go to was charging 60/hr which is kinda standard. i figure it would take em bout 2-3 hrs. i got mine from user Shawhite. i think he made that one. maybe he could give ya a few tips

Tahnks guys for all of your replies. I don't have a NAVi in it, I was also thinking converting the car to NAVI, but it looks like I can install this Kenwood cheaper and then add a separate Kenwood DVD-ROM 4100 and mount it in glove box. I'll post some pics as soon as I get it done. One more question,, doesn any other Woofer fits instead of the stock one, assuming I add an AMP for it? This is the best site for people like us,,,
