fitting aftermarket sub in stock hole...
is it possible to stick a powerful 8" sub in the stock hole where the bose sub is?and do you think it is possible to put a 10" sub in the hole? maybe with modification?

yes all are possible with some modification, but they need to be FreeAir subs, and low profile subs, unless you modify the trunk torsion bars

wrong forum.....
repost this in the Audio section, which is in the Offtopic forums above.
Basically the stock sub will work free-air, meaning not in a box. If you were to cut the metal out an inch (for a ten inch sub), you would have to build a box to attach under the rear deck lid. That's where the trunk torsion bars are, they are the bars that relieve the weight of the trunk while it's open, and yes thay are hard to move.
I would reccomend looking for a free air sub, a Kicker 8 onch is one of the only ones I know of , it will have better sound then the stock 9 inch sub.
