First spring detail on TL, what should I do?

First spring detail on TL, what should I do?
I've had my TL for about 4 months now and spring/summer is just around the corner. What do you do before the summertime to protect your car?
I have not detailed before because I heard you are not supposed to wax it for the first 90 days or so.
So Is there something special you have to do the first time to ensure protection for the rest of the year??
My co-worker also has a TL, and he says to do the whole shabang with Zaino's 10 step process.. clay, cleaner, etc...
