First Pics! TL-S & RXS-s

Will get better photos on a nice day, with more time when the car is clean. Was on my way to work. OK, enough excuses

Here you can see the rear ground effects, dual SS tips, and ACURA trunk delete

OEM Bodykit & Tint on the ABP TL-S

A look inside.

What better than one Type S, but two!! Maybe I'll do it, somebody stop me!! Think I like that fire pepper red color better though.

RSX

The fit an finish of the interior on these cars are better than the TL-S I'm almost sad to say

Side shot, not bad though, could be a little lower and a little longer for a more sport look, and brake it away from the civic a bit.

I've been in an RSX and did not see a significant difference....why do you say the fit & finish is better than our TL-s? Maybe it's just your imagination, knowing that the RSX is built in Japan????

It’s not my imagination. The buttons and dash have a better feel. Here is an example you can see. On the TL, they can’t even make a flush passenger side air bag. On several TL cars, the edges even pop up a little bit sometimes, and the dealer told me this has happened before because the bag is stuffed to tight. Now look at the RSX, perfectly flush. This is one of many examples.

Drive both for 2 days and you will see what I mean. Also, talked to someone with over10K miles on the RSK, and none of the common squeaks and rattlers. Wasn’t even really considering Japan, but maybe its true, they do have better quality control. Don't get me wrong, I still think the TL is the best car for the money.

What you guys think of the pictures?

Here you can see how far the tips stick out, which you can adjust. I like it a bit further than the bumper, and llooks better than under the car like stock when doing a walk around.

Unhappy

If you are right (I don't believe I'll ever have an opp to drive an rsx-s for 2 days) then that would be very ironic....cheaper car, better quality. I did drive a cl-s for 3 weeks and that fit & finish was the exact same as the tl-s....why would the rsx-s be better...it's cheaper for goodness sakes! Anyway, cool that you own BOTH vehicles....sorry you can tell an irritating difference!

Hoy Fox, isn't that in El Paso?

well for starters the TL and CL is the same thing. The RSX is all new, and maybe like you said, because its not made in the US. That is why I said I was sad to say, cheaper car, better quality, but not more features, I can say that. Yes hoyfox is in El Paso, and rated one of the highest acura places in the nation, how did you know?

I don't own the RSX yet, I've done so much business with Hoy Fox (Acura, Lexus, Infiniti, they also carry all the other high brands excpt MBW) they let me use new cars for a while if I'm interested. I like this color, though the pepper red may be nicer.

Aw soooo....frequent buyers club. Cool! You can just bring home a car like that! You lucky thing....already own a tl-s & have enough $ to buy an rsx-s. Who will drive what?

Saw the Hoy Fox name on the plate & have seen their name on the Internet when looking for Aftermarket parts.

I must admit, when we bought our tl-s I had NO IDEA that the car was built in Ohio...little thing the salesguy didn't point out. That would have been a major hinderance to the deal...we would have ended back up at Infiniti had we known that. When I heard, my heart sank & I've never been quite confident since. For example, have this creak that won't go away & now my clock display (LED) is malfunctioning...neither occurred w/ the 4-year old Q45 we bought used! Very disturbing ACURA!!!!!!

typeSmaximum,

It looks like your SS exhaust tips are stick out too much and also the mufflers are hanging too low.

Here are the pics of my TL-S:

as far as sticking out too much on my tips, I can adjust that, though I like them a bit further from the rear clip, makes its easy to clean all around, more visable, and keeps exhaust build-up off the paint.

Love your setup though! As far as too low, not sure, thats the stock location, just slid these on?? Would be better a bit higher, I agree, though looks better than stock by car, and gets noticed.

On another note, I had an 01 I30T made in japan before the 02 TL-S and had far more issues with it, so go figure, you neven know. Have almost 10K and no issues. The infiniti did have better leather and interior materials though. The RSX is a very nice car for the money, but really really needs LSD.

I have to agree, I've been in plenty of RSX with a ton of miles and then my car and the two feel different. If I make hard turns, my car squeaks as if the car was put together in multiple pieces (I know they are, but I'm not suppose to feel it) the RSX feels tight and like one piece of metal...

Actually, I have no problem with any carbon build-up. Maybe the tips are tripled-chrome stainless steel, so it doesn't get the build-up as easily and as quickly as the stocks. The stocks used to get dirty black on the bottom part all the time.

Thanks. It must be nice to have 2 Type-S's!

As for my tips, it was at stock location just like yours when it was first installed.

You can make yours looks like mine. I went to a local hardware store and bought two 2"-3" adjustable metal hose clamps and use them on one of the rubber hangers on each of the mufflers and then tighten them to raise the mufflers to have them flushed to the rear lip.

BTW, which tips did you get? I got the 3.5" x 9" 3A Racing tips from this site.
