Sorry for posting yet another oil question.

I will be taking my car in for its first oil change this week. I didn't plan far enough ahead and can't get Amsoil in time. There is no local retailer near me.

The dealer has the Castrol synthetic. Is Castrol OK or should I go get some Mobil1? It should only be for one oil change, I'll have the Amsoil before the next service. If I get the Mobil1 should I get the 5W-30 or the 0W-30 since the 5W-20 isn't out yet?

I just had my oil changed today with Mobil 1 5w30 and a MOBIL 1 FILTER!!

I used the 5w30 Mobil1 until I got around to switching to the Redline oil. I was using Mobil1 5w30 with Purolator Filters for the first two oil changes... then I switched to Redline with the Mobil1 filter.

You should have no problems with the Mobil1 for the first change.....

Amsoil will ship it to you takes about 5 days, just call the 800 number here www.amsoil.com. They will also tell you were the wharehouse is and you can pick it up if it's near by. Mobil1 is also a choice just use their filters if you plan on extended drain intervals :wow:
