honda recommands 1000km, so around 600 miles, but it wouldn't hurt if you break-in for say, 1000 miles or so, enjoy

I believe you stay below Vtec (app 4900) but do not drive at a constant RPM rate for long periods of time. i.e. on highway driving 80 mph at 2200 rpms for hours. Try and fluctuate the RPMS

Congrats on the car, welcome!

Oh, and don't change the oil for the first time until 3000-3500 miles But I'm sure the dealer already told you that...

Hmm.. I wouldn't go that long on mineral oil, if they really press for you to hold out on changing try 5000 miles. I guess it also depends on how the car is driving. If you do lots of city driving , stop and go, definetly don't wait that long.

Dealer said 7,500 b/c

that is what the maintenance schedule calls for under normal conditions. I would split the diff and get it changed around 3,750.

Oh, btw, congrats on the car.

First mod you should do is the fog light rewire. You can find detailed instructions in the FAQ.

1600+miles

I just made a trip to NYC and back and deemed my car properly brocken in, it is a 3.5 week old ABP w/black interior. I just started trying to gun it and this mutherf***er flies. According to the website, induction valve activates at 3800 and vtec at 4800. Might be racing my coworkers rsx type-s next week but we'll see.
