Good post man. The fogs look tight.

I was debating on the Razo's or the Silverstar's. I saw the SS's at Pep Boys, but they were about $25 p/ bulb. How much did the Razo's run and where did you get them?

Also, that rect. hole that you mention......it seems like a bittch to get at? Was the whole install process hard in any way?

Thanks
bloo

~$55 from nopi.com

The little rectangle is easy to find actually. I initially though it was a rectangle opening in the splash gaurd, but it is right behind the front underbody spoiler. You can reach your hand right under the car and feel it.

Since I am dropped on comptechs with a kit I had to jack the car up a few inches to be able to fit the wrench with extension under the front lip.

Only took like 30 minutes once I figured out which rectangular hole I was suppose to be looking for

dude bloo-tls02 let me save you some frustration.the ss's suck big time! you won't be happy with them.
this subject has been beat to death on this forum so do a search, please. the best that i've personally found where the Eaglights from Midnightmoose.com they're only 15buck a pair+shippingabout $5, OH AND BY THE WAY THE GUYS AT MIDNIGHTMOOSE.COM SAY HI!
it was this forum that turned me on to these bulbs for a almost perfect match to hid low beams. so i'll pass it on. but do excuse me if i'm just beating a dead horse.

So, can you tell a visible difference in the direct light and peripheral light they cast on the roadway?

Hey copland007, I see that the Razo Premium White Zero is 4550K. Isn't the kelvin temp on the Razo higher than the stock HID kelvin temp? Wouldn't the Razo appear whiter and bluer than the stock HID? What is the color output when you're sitting in the car? Lastly, how well does the Razo light up the road? I'm assuming that the Razo lights doesn't light up the road as well as the stock Stanley bulb or the Sylvania SilverStars given the heavy blue coating on the bulb to acheive that high of a kelvin rating and the fact that they are not DOT approved means they probably aren't putting the minimum lumens output for a 9006 bulb. Thanks.

i got mine from showparts.com but i heard a few ppl had problems with them.

everyone seems pretty happy with midnightmoose.com

they cost like 14 bucks a pair and shipping is like 5 bucks. thats why i bought 2 sets cause shipping doesnt change.

5 dollars is for 50 dollars of merchandise.

i have expectations of changing my bulbs yearly.....

my ss bulbs lasted about 9 months

WITH ALL DO RESPECT, YOU CAN'T COMPARE $HIT WITH A PIC(ALTHOUGH I REALLY ENJOY LOOKIN AT THEM) YOUR BEST RESOURCE ARE THE PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM THAT HAVE "BEEN THERE DONE THAT" SO THAT THEY KNOW FOR A FACT, AND BECAUSE THERE NICE PEOPLE THEY SHARE THE RESULTS WITH US. SO ONCE AGAIN THE SITE I LIKE IS ***********MIDNIGHTMOOSE.COM****************VERY NICE PEOPLE AND THEY STAND BEHIND THIER PRODUCTS.

Oh BTW you'll never match the HID perfectly with a light bulb with colored lens. but the ones recommended on this site are dam_ close.(and if your a perfectionist, shell out the serious cash for HID fogs or go with the lexus look-a-likes and get yellow bulbs)

r10apple: They are lighting up more off-to-the side road than stock bulbs.

paultl: Looks pretty close, what temp are they? They look just a tad below stock.

InspireSaber: Yup, don't remember the temp of HID but it is a tad higher. They match perfectly lighting up the road, I can't tell where the headlights end and the Razos begin. They are much brighter than stock bulbs, I can see the front few feet in front of the car much easier as well as a little more off to the side. Don't know about the lumens, would have to measure.

edit: Ok I shouldn't say perfectly, because no non-hid can make perfectly, but to the casual naked eye, they fit the bill for me.

You can see both stock bulbs on left, and razo on right to compare:

No blue there

I realize pictures never do lights justice, but that's life I guess.

copland,

not sure what the temp is, but they are 55w eaglite bulbs. thats all i know =)

your bulbs look great, i just couldnt justify spending 50+ dollars for bulbs...too pricey for something i have to replace annually.
